Grinding Instructions If the steel around each button is not worn off enough to make room for using Diaroc / Scandia and Super Diaroc Tools right away, a special tool, Boroscan is available for grinding off the steel. |
| The buttons should not be
reground reprofiled too much. Leave flatness of approx. 2 mm. Grind Down Damaged Buttons Buttons which have failed in the drilling process are to be eliminated by using an ordinary grinding wheel. Avoid grinding on the periphery button of the bits. |

![]() Check the grinding of the periphery buttons and the diameter of the steel body itself. Leave flatness of the periphery buttons as illustrated saving the bit diameter. |
||||||||||||||||||||||
| The button bit must have the correct bit gauge | ||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Check regularly that there is clearance using the bit gauge. This is most important. Otherwise the button bit will jam in the hole and break. |
