These air grinder s have many new features which allow the operator to carry out the
re-profiling of the carbide buttons quickly and efficiently. The Diaroc / Scandia
and Super Diaroc tools are inserted in the chuck and moved into contact with the button.
The air grinder is so designed to allow the cooling water to flow when the Diaroc /
Scandia and Super Diaroc tools are operating. Re-profiling of the button is carried out by
keeping the tool in contact with the button and rocking the air grinder. This is carried
out until all signs of flats have
been removed form the carbide.
Should a particular button not protrude
sufficiently from the steel body of the bit, then the Boroscan tool, or the Super Diaroc
tools must be used in the same air grinder, to remove the steel away from the base of the button until the
correct protrusion has been regenerated. |
